    AI Chat with PDF

Use Chat with PDF to get summaries, and generate keywords and hashtags - you can now ask your PDF file anything.

Using Chat with PDF for PDFs offers several benefits:

    • Semantic Search: Chat with PDF can understand the context and semantics of a query, allowing it to search for information in a PDF not just based on exact keyword matches but also based on the meaning of the content.
    • Quick Information Retrieval: Instead of manually scrolling through pages of a PDF, users can simply ask Chat with PDF questions, and the system will quickly locate and provide the relevant information from the document.
    • Summarization: Chat with PDF can provide summaries or highlights of lengthy PDF documents, making it easier for users to grasp the main points without reading the entire content.
    • Document Analysis: Beyond simple search and retrieval, Chat with PDF can analyze the content of a PDF, identifying patterns, themes, or important points that might be of interest to the user. Also, this tool can generate keywords and hashtags for your convenience.

    How does it work?

If you want to use PDF Copilot, open the file you need and click the ai button next to the Actions menu.
    Here you have several options:

    • Ask anything - type in anything you want to learn from this PDF file.
    • Summarize - ask PDF Copilot to generate a short summary of the PDF file you’re reading.
    • List Main Points - use this option to create a list of the main thesis statements of your document. After the main points are generated, you get the option to Highlight Main Points or Underline Main Points. If you click on a page (marked blue next to the text line), you will highlight or underline this portion of the text only.
    • Annotation Summary - get a list of the annotations used in the text. Annotation summary works with Highlight, Underline, Text, and Note annotations.
    • Tap the three dots icon to Copy Full Chat, Share, and Clear Chat.

You can also swipe to the left on your touchpad to delete the prompts or text.

Note: The feature is only available for the subscription users of the website version of the app. Also, the app is compatible with macOS 13 or later only. You have 50 quotas for the trial version and 200 quotas for the subscription.

In order to use AI Chat on your iOS device, please make sure you have iOS 16 or later, open the file you want to work with, and select the ai Chat button at the bottom of the screen on your iPhone or at the top right on your iPad.

The options you can use are:

    • Generate summary
    • List main points
    • Generate keywords
    • Generate hashtags

You can also type anything you want into the Ask anything field or contact us via Share Feedback at the bottom.
