PDF Expert provides you with a flexible file managing approach - not only you can create your own files, folders, and sub-folders, you can also change the name of your file anytime you want. You can rename the files and folders on your cloud storage account as well as your locally stored files.
How to rename a file or a folder
- Tap More … on a file or folder's thumbnail.
- Select Rename.
- Type the new name and tap Done.
A faster way to rename a file or a folder is to tap directly on its name - as soon as you do so, your keyboard will appear. After you've finished, tap Done.
Note: Some of the folders can't be renamed, for instance, iTunes Files, Photo Albums, Recently Deleted, PDF Expert - iCloud.
How to rename a file
- Launch the PDF Expert app.
- Open your file in a new tab.
- Click on the tab's name in order to rename the file on the spot.
Alternatively, you can rename your files in Finder with a right-click > Rename.
Note: Since macOS doesn't offer a folder structure in general, our app also follows this pattern and we don't have folders in PDF Expert - your files are stored locally on your Mac, not in the app, and can be modified via the Finder app.
