According to Apple’s standard policies of subscriptions on apps, once a trial ends, most subscriptions start automatically, so you’re automatically charged for the subscription. PDF Expert also works this way.
Please follow the steps in this article to cancel your subscription first, since we are not able to cancel a subscription on your behalf.
How to get a refund
Once you cancel your subscription, you need to apply for a refund.
Request a refund from Apple
If you have purchased the app via App Store, we have no possibility to send a refund to your credit card directly. In this case, all the billing processes come through Apple.
You may contact Apple directly - please follow these instructions:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com using any web browser to view your purchase history.
- Sign in under the Apple ID you used to make a purchase.
- In the field ‘What can I help you with?’, choose ‘I would like to request a refund’.
- In the field ‘Tell us more’, choose the reason and tap ‘Next’.
- Choose PDF Expert in the purchases list. If a charge for an item is pending, you haven’t yet been charged and can’t request a refund. After the charge goes through, please try requesting a refund again.
- Tap Submit.
If your request is rejected by an automatic reply, please try contacting App Store administration to cancel your purchase. For this:
- Head to https://getsupport.apple.com/.
- Select your location > Billing & Subscriptions > Subscriptions & Purchases > Accidental purchases.
- Email OR Call Apple Support.
If you still haven't received a refund after completing the steps above, please tap the PDF Expert icon at the bottom right of the screen to open our chatbot.
Request a refund from our website
If you purchased PDF Expert from our website, you are eligible for a refund within 30 calendar days of purchase, per our Terms of Service. To get refunded, in this case, please contact our Support Team directly at rdsupport@readdle.com - we’re happy to help you personally.
The refund can take from 5 to 10 business days for the credit to reach your account. However, in most cases, it will show up sooner.
