Enhance your iPhone or iPad's Control Center with widgets from Documents. Starting with the iOS 18 update, you can add customizable controls, giving you instant access to your favorite Documents actions right from the Control Center.
What are the Documents widgets in the Control Center?
Currently, the following widgets can be used from your Control Center as controls:
- My Files
- Inbox
- Tools
- Music
- Recents
- Favorites
- Browser
- Scan
- Connect to Computer
- VPN
How to add Documents widgets in the Control Center
- Open Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner of your screen
- Tap the ➕button at the top left of the screen.
- Tap Add a Control at the bottom of the screen to open the control gallery.
- Scroll down to the Documents section or use search.
- Select the desired widget (control).
How to customize widgets in the Control Center
- Rearrange controls: Simply drag a control to your desired position.
- Resize a control: Drag the handle at the bottom right of the control to adjust its size.
- Remove controls: Tap the Remove button located in the upper left corner of the control.
Once you’ve finished customizing, swipe up from the bottom center of the screen to close Control Center. You can learn more about how your widgets can be used and customized here.
