How it works
- When using the tool for the first time, make sure you have your Internet connected - this is needed for the AI model to be downloaded.
- Choose the needed image.
- Activate Smart Eraser from any entry point you like by tapping Erase Objects.
- Select the area you’d like to erase with your finger or stylus - the brush size is not adjustable, but you can zoom in/zoom out for an accurate selection.
- Check if you’re satisfied with the selected area before tapping Erase.
- If needed, use the Undo and Redo arrows at the top of the screen to adjust the changes.
- Once you’ve used Erase, check the result and tap Save.
The edited file is saved as a separate copy to the folder your original file is stored in. The original file remains untouched and safe.
Here are some key points to consider when using Smart Eraser:
- The quality of the final result can vary based on the specifics of the image you're working with, such as the features and size of the selected area. Also, the presence of nearby objects and shadows can affect the outcome.

- Smart Eraser is not supported on certain devices: iPhone 8; iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st, 2nd generation); iPad Pro 10.5-inch; iPad Pro 9.7-inch; iPad (5th, 6th, 7th generation). Also, the feature won’t be available on iOS 15 for all devices.
