Documents makes reading easy. It supports PDF, ePUB, and FB2 formats for you to choose the preferred one as well as allows for converting other E-book formats to PDF. In this article, you can learn how to add E-books to Documents and customize your reading experience for ePUB and FB2 file formats.
Add and access ePUB and FB2 books in Documents
There are multiple ways you can add and access E-books in Documents:
- Add them using the plus button at the bottom right
- Download books from our built-in browser
- Share books from other apps to Documents
- Read books from any cloud storage connected to Documents without downloading them
Reading settings customization
Documents has numerous options to ease and improve your reading experience. Let's check them out:
- Open an ePub or FB2 file.
- Tap theicon at the bottom and do any of the following:
- To set the preferred scrolling direction, tap Vertical scroll or Horizontal scroll.
- To adjust the brightness, drag the slider to the right or left.
- Choose the Theme: Day, Sepia, Night, or Auto. The Auto Theme switches between the light and dark appearance depending on your system settings.
- To change the zoom level, tap a smaller or bigger A icon to find the perfect fit.
- To change the font, tap Default, then choose the preferred font from the list and tap it.
- Disabling the iPhone auto-lock toggle prevents the iPhone from automatically sleeping.

Add bookmarks and navigate your books
While reading, you can conveniently navigate your book and quickly find the things you consider important.
- Tapand switch to the Table of contents tab to quickly navigate through the entire document.
- To search through the book, tap, enter your query, and tap Search on your keyboard. The search results will be highlighted, and you can navigate through them using the buttons at the bottom. When you finish with searching, tap Done at the top right.
- To add a bookmark to a particular page, simply tap theat the bottom right or tap, make sure to switch to the Bookmarks tab, then tap Add new Bookmark at the bottom.
To find the bookmark, tapand select the Bookmarks tab at the top.
To manage your bookmarks, tap the iconat the bottom and tap Edit at the top right. Here, you can rename, delete, and change the order of the bookmarks by dragging them.
