Documents PDF reader allows for adjusting the page view to find the perfect fit for every particular PDF file. Learn how to choose the preferred way of scrolling and enable the two-page view in this article.
Switch between vertical and horizontal scrolling
In Documents, you can scroll pages in vertical or horizontal directions. Horizontal scrolling is the default one on iPads.
How to choose the scrolling direction:
- Open any PDF file.
- On iPad, tap the View Settings icon aA at the top right. On iPhone, tap More ... at the top right > View Settings aA.
- Select the preferred option.
You can also quickly scroll through pages using a slider. It’s located either on the right or at the bottom of the screen depending on the scrolling direction you set.
Enable the two-page view
The two-page view in Documents is convenient for reading magazines or books with lots of graphs and illustrations, here's how you can enable it:
- Open any PDF file.
- On iPad, tap
at the top right. - On iPhone, tap the More ... icon at the top right and select View Settings aA.
- Select Two Pages.
After choosing this option, you can also enable the First page Alone toggle.
