    Create and edit text files

    The Documents app allows you to create, open, edit, and share text files, and its PDF converter can easily turn any of them into beautiful PDFs so that you can enjoy our advanced PDF editing tools.

    Create a text file

    1. Open the Documents app.
    2. Go to the folder where you want a new text file to be saved.
    3. Tap the Plus buttonat the bottom right.
    4. Tap Text File.

    By default, Helvetica 16 pt is set for typing. To change the font and its size, swipe down to hide the keyboard and reveal the toolbar. Tap, tap the font you like, and set the font size using the smaller and bigger A buttons.

    Tip: If you want to adjust the formatting of the text, you can convert it into an .rtf by tapping Make Rich Text from the More menu ... at the top right.

    Use search and add bookmark

    • To search through the text file, make sure to hide the keyboard by swiping down, tap, enter your query, then tap Search on your keyboard. The active search result will be selected, and you can navigate through the search results using the buttons at the bottom. When you finish with searching, tap Done at the top right.
    • To add a bookmark to a particular page, make sure to hide the keyboard by swiping down, then simply tap the iconat the bottom right and tap Add new Bookmark at the bottom.

      To find the bookmark, tap, to manage your bookmarks, tap Edit at the top right. Here, you can rename, delete, and change the order of the bookmarks by dragging them.

    • To search through the text file, tap, enter your query, and tap Search on your keyboard. The active search results will be selected, and you can navigate through the search results using the buttons <   > at the top. When you finish with searching, tap Done at the top right.
    • To add a bookmark to a particular page, simply tap the iconat the top, then tap Add at the top left of the pop-up.

      To find the bookmark, tap, to manage your bookmarks, tap Edit at the top right. Here, you can rename, delete, and change the order of the bookmarks by dragging them.

    Convert a text file into PDF

    To convert a text file to PDF, open it in the Documents app, then tap the conversion icon. Alternatively, or to convert multiple files at once, follow the steps below:

    1. Open Documents.
    2. Open a folder with the needed text file or stay in the My Filessection if the file is there.
    3. Tap ... at the top right > Select.
    4. Select the files you need to convert.
    5. Tap Convert to PDF at the bottom.
    Tip: If you need to merge several text files into a single PDF file, tap Merge to PDF after selection.

    1. Open Documents.
