As technology advances towards greater user-centricity and intuitiveness, we are excited to present Documents' new feature: Air Gestures. This innovation marks a significant stride in our ongoing efforts to make digital interactions, particularly video control, more instinctive and user-friendly.
Air Gestures in Documents specifically elevates how users engage with video content, representing a notable progression towards a hands-free and intuitive experience.
How to enable Air Gestures
- Give access to your camera in iOS Settings of your device > Documents > Camera.
- Enable Air Gestures in Control Center > Settings > Video Player > Air Gestures in Documents.
- Enable Air Gestures in the Video Actions of the video player.
Air Gesture in video player
We’ve introduced two Air Gestures in Documents:
- Play and Pause: use the palm of your raised hand to play or pause the video.
- Fast Forward and Rewind: raise two fingers and move them sideways to fast forward or rewind the video. Moving two fingers to the left is used to rewind the video while moving them to the right fast forwards.
The effectiveness of the feature relies on several factors: your palm should always be within the camera’s area. Also, before you start, check if you have the best lighting.
Note: Prolonged usage of Air Gestures might drain the battery of your device.
