Quick access to tools makes all the difference when you're short on time. In Scanner Pro, the Tools tab puts everything you need right up front, so you can get started the moment you open the app.
How to use Tools
When you launch Scanner Pro for the first time, you get a few options to start from:
- Orange Camera icon - to start scanning right away.
- Gallery icon - to use a photo from your Photo Library.
- Tools icon - to get quick access to our top features.
Once you tap the Tools icon, you’ll get several options to start from, which are divided into four categories:
Scan
- Document - scans any file you need
- Text - works as OCR and recognizes the text for you
- Book - helps you scan a two-page document
- QR Code - scans QR codes specifically
Create
- Folder - creates a new folder for you
- Fax - you can create a scan and send it via Fax
- Expense Report - captures key information from your receipts
- Translation - translates the text in your files from various languages
Import
- Files - allows you to import your files from your Files app. You can tap Import Files > Browse > select any location from the Files app
- Photos - imports the images from your Photo Library
Export
- To Word - converts your scan into a Word document
- To Text - converts your scan into a .txt file
- To Image - converts your scan into a JPEG
- To PowerPoint - converts your scan into a .pptx slide/file
Edit
- Sign - lets you create a signature and sign your file right in the app
- Merge Files - merges multiple scans into one file
Utilities
- Measure - measures the dimensions of the object you're scanning
- Count Objects - helps you count the number of objects you're scanning
