Smart Categories is a Scanner Pro feature that automatically sorts & organizes your documents into categories.
Every time you create a new scan, Scanner Pro automatically labels the document based on its contents into one of the following categories:
- Receipt
- Invoice or Bill
- Form
- Letter
- ID
- Business Card
- Book or Magazine
- Music Sheet
- Paper Note
- Other
If the app gets it wrong, you can always manually choose the correct category - here's how:
- Open Scanner Pro.
- Tap the scan you'd like to change the category for.
- Tap the current category at the bottom left.
- Choose a new category that better suits this scan.

Smart Categories also make your search experience so much more efficient - here's how you can search for certain categories of files:
- Open Scanner Pro.
- Tap the Search field at the top.
- Select the scan category you need to search for right under the search field.
