In Scanner Pro, you can apply a wide range of actions to your scans - one of them is the ability to translate the text of your scan or PDF to other languages. This is a unique opportunity to process your data even faster, with fewer clicks, and in one app.
What is the Translator tool?
We’re using Apple’s system mechanism, introduced with the release of iOS 26, which allows us to recognize the text on your scan first and then translate it to the language supported by the system. Right now, we support over 20 languages.
You can turn your scan or PDF into readable text in the language of your choice. After this, you can also copy, export, or share the translated text if needed.
How to use the Translator
There are three entry points to this feature:
- Tools tab > Create section > Translate
- File’s open view > Translate button at the bottom of the screen
- By long-tapping on the file
- Choose the document you want to translate.
- Tap Translate and select the target language.
- Let the languages you’re using load (it could take a couple of minutes).
- Get the end result and choose what you’d like to do with it.
