Share calendars with specific users
You can share the main calendar for your account, or another calendar you created.
- On your computer, open Google Calendar. You can't share calendars from the Google Calendar app.
- On the left, find the "My calendars" section. You might need to click it to expand it.
- Hover over the calendar you want to share, click More settings and Sharing.
- To share with individuals: Under "Share with specific people," add the person or the email address of the person you want to share with.
- To change wider sharing settings: Under "Access permissions," choose an option in the drop-down menu.
- If someone hasn't already been added, click Add people.
- Add people and click Send.
If you share your calendar with an individual email address, they'll see it in their "Other calendars" list. If you share your calendar with an email group, they'll see it in their "Other calendars" list once they click on the link in the email invitation from Google Calendar.
If you're having trouble sharing your calendar, remove the shared person from your calendar settings and share your calendar again to resolve the problem.
You can also share calendars with a group of people via Google Groups. The calendar-sharing settings will automatically adjust to any changes in the group's membership over time. Learn more about Google Groups.
When you share your calendar with a group, it isn't automatically added to their calendar list. Instead, they'll need to click the link in the email they got to add the calendar to their list.
Share with the public
With Google Calendar, you can control who can see your calendars and events. When you make your calendar public, the events on that calendar are public as well, meaning that people can search for them and find them in various ways, including via Google Web search.
Share your calendar publicly
- On a computer, open Google Calendar.
- In the top right, click Settings.
- Click the name of the calendar you want to share.
- Open Access permissions.
- Check the box next to “Make available to public”.
- If you don't want other people to view the details of your events, select See only free/busy (Hide details).
G Suite users: Your domain administrator may restrict your sharing settings. If you don't see some sharing settings, contact your domain administrator.
