The easy-to-use color coding helps you segment and quick-view what's going on daily. Here's how to use it:
Color-code events
- While creating an event, click the Custom Event Color of your choice.
- To change the color-coding of an existing event or to add the color later, click the event > Edit > click the Custom Event Color of your choice.
To color-code the calendar list in our app you can choose several different colors for different calendars. For this, follow the steps below:
- Tap the three lines icon.
- Scroll to the very bottom and tap Edit Calendars.
- Tap on the field with the name of the calendar that has an arrow and select the color.
- Tap 'Save' on the next screen.
- Just assign the event to another calendar to change its color.
- To color-code a single event: Tap the event.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap the calendar name.
- Tap Event color.
- Select another color for this event.
- Tap 'Done' and 'Save' on the next screen.
Color-code tasks on Mac
Calendars allows for adding color-coding lists for tasks. You can think of it as of hashtags for tasks. For example, you can label all work-related tasks with blue, mark personal tasks with yellow, appointments with green, and so on. To manage the color-coding list, follow the steps:
- Open Calendars for Mac.
- Click the Tasks tab at the top.
- Click + in the My List section on the sidebar.
- Add a title.
- To edit a list item, right-click it and choose the needed option.
That's it! Once you have a list created, managing tasks is easier.
Create color-coded tasks from the Tasks tab at the top
- Open Calendars for Mac.
- Click the Tasks tab at the top.
- Click the needed color in the My List section on the sidebar.
- Add a new task.
Create color-coded tasks from the Day, Week, or Month tab at the top
- Open Calendars for Mac.
- Under the Plans tab, click the drop-down button.
- Select the color for your new task from the drop-down menu.
- Create a new task and drag&drop to your calendar.
Alternatively, select All Lists from the drop-down menu and create tasks from there.
