To create a new task, follow the steps below:
Tasks Tab
- Open Calendars for Mac, click the Tasks tab.
- Select a color in the My List section on the sidebar.
- Click + to add a new task.
Planner Tab
- Open Calendars for Mac, click the Planner tab, then + to create a new task.
- Drag and drop the task onto your calendar.
Mark Tasks for Today
- Add a star to a task to make it appear every day until it is completed or the star is removed.
Reschedule Tasks
- In Week and Month views, drag and drop tasks to reschedule.
To create a new task on iPhone:
- Quick Access Menu: Tap the lightning ⚡icon at the bottom of the screen to add tasks to any list. Then tap +New Task, enter the title, set a due date, add a reminder, choose a recurrence option, and include a description if needed.
- Drag to Timeline: Tap and hold a task in the Quick Access Menu, then drag it onto your timeline to edit.
- Adjust Task Durations: In Day view, adjust task durations for time-blocking. In Week or Month views, tasks will appear in the all-day section without a time slot. Mark tasks as done directly on the timeline in any view.
- Quick Task Creation: In any view, tap and hold an empty space on the calendar, then type the title with a space. The event will convert into a task.
- Mark Tasks for Today: Add a star to a task to make it appear every day until completed or until the star is removed.
- Reschedule Tasks: In Week and Month views, simply drag and drop tasks to reschedule them.
To create a new task on iPad:
- Tap Tasks at the top, then + in the upper-right corner.
- Assign a Due Date, Reminder, Recurring option, and add a Description.
- Alternatively, tap and hold an empty calendar space, start typing with a Space, and the event will become a task.
- Mark Tasks for Today: Add a star to a task to make it appear every day until completed or until the star is removed.
- Reschedule Tasks: In Week and Month views, simply drag and drop tasks to reschedule them.
